Welcome to Tool School!

In this episode of Tool School,
We will explore the Slash Cutter (Art. No. 499).
The Slash Cutter is specially designed to be used for creating faux chenille. Faux chenille is a textured textile art technique that uses multiple layers of fabric stitched together in parallel rows.
All of the layers except the bottom one are then carefully cut between the rows of stitching. The stitched project is then brushed or washed to make the raw cut edges fluff to create the appearance of chenille yarns. The Slash Cutter makes easy work of cutting faux chenille channels accurately and effortlessly.
The Slash Cutter utilizes a rotary cutting blade and features two interchangeable blade guides. One guide features a long guide finger specifically for cutting straight lines, and another guide with a short guide finger that easily follows and cuts curved stitch channels.
The Slash Cutter also features a special wheel control mechanism that detects when the fixed blade has become dull and automatically advances the blade to expose a new, sharper blade surface. Once the blade has been completely used, it can be replaced with a Clover 28mm rotary blade refill (Art. No. 7509).
Make cutting your next faux chenille project easy by using the Slash Cutter. You’ll love how simple it is to create perfectly cut rows.
