Pom Pom Maker

By Shannon and Jason

Pom-Poms… those fluffy, puffy, wooly embellishments we all know and love. We made them during arts and crafts time at camp, attaching them to hats, and bags, and made wall hangings that were as campy as they were FAB. Just looking at them brings on a sense of nostalgia that is almost unrivaled.

Okay… okay… Maybe our waxing nostalgic over yarn balls is a bit over the top, but we love them and an emotion such as love does not need to be justified, right? Leave it to the folx at Clover to come up with a way to improve on a classic, elevating the Pom-Pom Maker to a new level with a welcome upgrade. Originally, to make pom-poms you needed cardboard, templates, scissors, and a bit of patience to get the ball rolling… but no more!

Whether you are a knitter or crocheter who adds pom-poms to hats or amigurumi figures, or a crafter looking for easy ways to embellish your projects, you’re going to want to check out the Pom-Pom Maker by Clover.

Here are just a few of the features that impressed us:

·      Sizes – Clover has sets that include all 4 sizes of Pom-Pom Makers.

·      Measuring scale for coloring – Each Pom-Pom Maker has markings on the side that show where to change colors of yarn if you’re making a striped or pom-pom with multiple colors… no more guessing!

·      Super simple to use – It’s as easy as wind, cut, tie, and trim. Literally, it only takes two minutes to make a perfect pom-pom using the Pom-Pom Maker.

To show how easy it is to use we made a 20″x 8″ table runner and a pom-pom neck warmer from one skein of fingering weight yarn, a thin piece of fabric, and a wide size range of pom-poms.

STITCH ON!!
